Matt Wickett

Transformation Partner

Matt is a Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Lean Master. He is a wealth of knowledge in process engineering and continuous improvement, but has the knowledge to see the bigger business picture as well as cause and effect of behaviors and decisions in business. His industry expertise is backed by 20+ years in engineering, manufacturing, project management, quality, operations, and business.

Matt started his career as a mechanical engineer, then advanced into project management and process engineer roles. Most recently, he was the senior process engineer for a construction company building multi-unit housing and hotel structures. His work greatly impacted the company's bottom line from multiplying capacity by 36x over 3 years to consolidating $8M in company assets for two manufacturing plants over 2 years.

Additionally, he established a company’s initial Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program for every piece of equipment, which resulted in $500k of annual savings and a 50% reduction in unplanned equipment downtime. He also facilitated a Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) Kaizen Event that reduced equipment set up time by 67%. This result exceeded the event goal (50%) and was completed in one week.

In his career, he has led many Kaizen, standard work, value stream mapping, performance metrics, process flow chart, and other similar projects. When it comes to process improvement, there is nothing Matt can't do.

Matt graduated in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
